DWI Charge for Milford Woman After NY Thruway Crash
The 1-car accident happened Sunday night.

New York state police responded to a one car personal injury accident on I-87 near Exit 3 at 10:30 p.m. July 26.
They said they found the driver, Carissa N. Viera, 30, to be intoxicated.
The Milford CT resident was treated and released roadside by emergency medical personnel for a minor arm bruise. Then she was transported and processed at the state police HQ in Tarrytown, where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.19 percent, police said.

Viera was charged with:
- Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, Unclassified Misdemeanor
She was turned over to a sober third party and released on an appearance ticket returnable to Yonkers city court on Aug. 17, police said.
