Edward Marek, 53, of Milford CT, passed away on November 5, 2024. Born on July 17, 1971, in Bridgeport CT to Lenore Vincenzi Marek and the late Charles Marek Jr.
Known for his gentle spirit, quick sense of humor, and contagious laugh, Edward was the kind of person who made everyone feel welcome. He took loving care of his mother, regularly preparing meals for her and his family, and was always ready to lend a hand with anything that needed fixing—a trait he proudly inherited from his father, who taught him the value of hard work and practical skills. Edward’s curiosity was boundless; he loved learning how things worked and could solve nearly any problem with a bit of ingenuity.
Music was one of Edward’s greatest joys. He was always up for a concert, sharing countless memories with his brothers, most recently enjoying a Led Zeppelin cover band just days before his passing. Whether out on the water boating or fishing, Edward found peace in nature and cherished the simple pleasures of life.
In addition to his beloved mother, Lenore, Edward is survived by his two children: Daron Cummings and Daina Cummings, and his granddaughter Freya. Brothers: Rick Marek and his wife Crystal, and Joe Marek and his wife Erica. Aunts and Uncles: Pete & Diane Vincenzi, Joyce Charles, Linda Stevens, Irene Marek, Mary & Bob Breza, and Linda DeStefano. Niece Kayla, nephew Nathan, and nephew Joseph “JoJo” Jr, cousin T.J. Vincenzi, and cousin Stacey Stevens and her husband Greg Hughes. As well as many additional beloved family and friends.
A private Celebration of Life Service will be held by the family.
