Efrain Rodriguez Jr., 57 of Milford, passed away on August 24, 2026, while surrounded by his loving family. Efrain was born on February 28, 1969, in Manhattan, NY, to the late Georgina Laurenz. He was the beloved husband of 10 years to Vicky Rodriguez.
Efrain devoted his life to hard work and caring for his family. Beginning at just 17 years old, he built a career as an elevator inspector and consultant, always focused on providing for those he loved. In 2004, he moved with his family from the Bronx to Milford, where he created a home filled with love, laughter, faith, and countless gatherings with family and friends. Efrain had a golden heart and loved nothing more than bringing people together, whether around the barbecue, sharing a glass of Kendall-Jackson Chardonnay, or simply laughing and enjoying time with the people he cherished. His faith in God was an important part of his life; as a young man, he served as an altar boy, and throughout his life he found ways to combine his deep faith with his love of family and tradition.
Efrain was an avid Yankees fan, proudly filling his living room with Yankees memorabilia and attending and watching countless games. He was also a true movie buff, eagerly purchasing new movies each week and making Friday nights special by taking his children to the theater for new releases followed by pizza. His love of movies became a cherished part of the holidays as well, with his annual insistence on watching films such as The Ten Commandments and The Greatest Story Ever Told every Easter. He could watch his favorites again and again, especially Top Gun and Air Force One, and never seemed to tire of them. Above all, Efrain will be remembered for his generous spirit, unwavering dedication to his family, strong faith, and the joy he brought to everyone fortunate enough to know him.
