Eleanore E. Turkington
Eleanore was a writer and worked for the Milford Citizen and West Haven Voice for many years.

Eleanore E. Turkington, age 91, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Robert Nelson Myers Sr., and Richard Turkington died on Sunday, April 5, 2026. Eleanore was born in Edwardsville, PA on July 15, 1934 to the late John Heine and Irene Moncovich. Eleanore was a writer and worked for the Milford Citizen and West Haven Voice for many years. She also worked in Public Relations at the Milford Senior Citizens Center. Eleanore was very involved with the Milford Land Trust.
Survivors include her children: Glenn J. Myers and his wife Robin of Stratford, Patricia Hall and her husband Peter of West Haven, eight grandchildren; Richard and Jamie Brantley, Ganelle and Jake Ayres, Jennifer and Frank Gutierrez, Jillian Myers, Kami Muse-Myers, Sara Muse-Myers, Robert Muse-Myers and Jacy Muse-Myers, great grandchildren Madelyn Brantley, Tristan and Holly Kemble, Blake and McKenna Kemble, Dylan and Diana Kemble, Luke Kemble, Ava Ayres , Chiarina Gutierrez and Aubrey Gutierrez, Avery Muse-Long, Everleigh Bartlett, Quinten Kernodle and many other great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, several cousins, Sherri Riccio and her husband Jim, John Petro and his wife Amy, Jean Collins and her husband Richard and nieces Susan White and her husband Mike, sons Matthew and Sean and his wife Aly, Terry Geary and many other nieces and nephews. Step children, step grandchildren and great step grandchildren. Eleanore is predeceased by her son, Robert Myers, Jr. and her sister, Margaret (Heine) Tlumac and her sister in law, Rosemary Lyons.
Friends and family are invited to greet the family on Friday April 17th from 10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Christ the Redeemer Church, 325 Oronoque Road, Milford. A Funeral Mass will start at 10:30 a.m. followed by the interment in Saint Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Animal Shelter in memory of Eleanore.
