​Elizabeth A. “Betty" Lane, 85, passed away on March 19, 2025.

Elizabeth A. “Betty" Lane, 85, beloved wife of the late John T. Lane, of Milford for thirty years and mother of the late Frank M. Barron III and the late Joanne E. Toth passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025. Born on February 4, 1940 in Richmond, VA, she was the daughter of the late Helen S. Fisher and William B. Fisher of Bridgeport.

Betty grew up in the south most of her young life but came to Connecticut to spend wonderful summers with her cousins, the late Barbara Williams of Milford, the late Elaine Hokunson of Milford, the late James Stewart of Derby and Lynne Rzepecki of North Scituate, RI, and eventually moved to Connecticut in 1964.

She attended the university of Georgia majoring in business administration and retired from Charles Schwab in Fairfield in 2002 where she was a financial planner and stockbroker. In her leisure time she enjoyed doing charcoal portraits of friends familied and their pets.

A Graveside service will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 10am at Kings Highway Cemetery 271 Cherry St., Milford, CT 06460. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice. To leave online condolences, please visit www.codywhitefuneralservice.com.
