Clyde the Clam from Newport, R.I.

Clyde the Clam is the mascot and the face of Newport's Chowder Cook-Off the oldest and biggest Chowder competition in the world. Clyde has never made an appearance at a Connecticut Restaurant, so we are honored. Johnny Addeo will be giving away his Italian ice which is excellent. We hope that there will be coverage because we want Clyde to feel comfortable. So if you see a large clam walking around Bobette's eating Italian ice, don't be alarmed. Stop in and say hi.
