“FANTASTIC FALL” AT WESTFIELD CONNECTICUT POST WITH FREE WESTFIELD FAMILY FUN DAYS FOR TODDLERS

Have a “Fantastic Fall” in September—join Westfield Connecticut Post and the Westfield Family Program for Family Fun Days! Our September Fun Days theme, Fantastic Fall, has kids exploring the colourful Fall leaves and enjoying the first weeks of school.

Little Kids Family Fun Days (2-5). On September 12, kids will read about a mouse that goes to school, in the book, “If You Take a Mouse to School” by Laura Numeroff and then kids will go on an adventure with the modern classic,  “Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale” by Mo Willems. To get in the spirit of Knuffle Bunny, kids will make their very own sock puppet. 

Join us on September 26 as kids read about the beautiful Autumn leaves, apple picking and going on hayrides at the county fair in, “Let It Fall” by Maryann Cocca-Leffler.  In “Crazy Hair Day” by Barney Saltzberg, kids will learn about acceptance as they read about a real life nightmare that Stanley Birdbaum experiences. Kids will also make their own fall nature collecting jar, and enjoy a snack.
