Ex-Milford Restaurant Owner Faces Several Charges In 4 Towns: PD

One of the charges involves the accused stealing a vehicle back from a police parking lot, according to a report.

MILFORD, CT — Anthony Villano, of Orange, who is a former owner of Villano’s and Gaetano’s restaurants, is accused of stealing a truck from the Milford Police Department's parking lot, according to the Connecticut Post.

Villano is facing numerous offenses in several towns including Orange, Stratford, Milford, and West Hartford.

Villano was accused of purchasing a Toyota Tundra while using a credit line that he wasn't authorized to do so and Milford Police seized the vehicle, the CT Post reports. A year later, Villano had the vehicle towed from the police parking lot and he refused to give it back, the Post reports. He was then arrested and charged with first-degree larceny by Milford Police.

Earlier this year, Patch reported that Villano was wanted in West Hartford and Stratford on outstanding warrants, and he was arrested as he was trying to exit his driveway while under the influence, police said.

On Jan. 30, Orange police officers responded to a Derby Milford Road home to serve two arrest warrants on Villano, 59, originating from the West Hartford Police Department, police said at the time.

Officers saw Villano exit his driveway and made a motor vehicle stop, police said. Officers discovered Villano operating his vehicle under the influence and also located a firearm on the front passenger seat, police said.

It was also discovered that he had an active arrest warrant out of Stratford, police said.

According to online court records, Villano was charged in Stratford on three counts of second-degree forgery back in 2015. He was arrested on May 2 in Milford and is charged with first-degree larceny and tampering with physical evidence.

On April 16, he was charged in Orange with attempt to commit first-degree larceny. On Jan. 31, he was arrested in Stratford and is charged with criminal impersonation and first-degree forgery.

On Jan. 31, he was arrested in West Hartford and is charged with second-degree threatening and second-degree harassment. On Jan. 30, he was arrested in Orange and is charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, illegally operating a motor vehicle while under the influence and illegally carrying a firearm.

And on May 14, 2018, Villano was arrested in Milford and is charged with two counts of first-degree larceny.
