Humidity Builds, May Produce Storms: CT Weekend Weather

CONNECTICUT — The weather in Connecticut was beautiful on Thursday and we're fortunate to have another great weather day on Friday too. But we'll notice some big changes by Sunday as temps may hit and or exceed 90 degrees and the hot and humid weather will stick around for a few days and could lead to thunderstorms on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.

The upcoming weekend looks mainly dry expect for a chance of a thunderstorm to two late tonight and or early Saturday. There is a very slight chance for a thunderstorm on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service, "Subtropical high pressure will affect the region through the weekend keeping conditions mainly dry, except for a small chance for a brief shower or thunderstorm each afternoon.

"High temperatures will be slightly below average, in the upper 70s to lows 80s. A warm up into the weekend is expected with highs in the low to mid 80s on Saturday and mid 80s to low 90s on
Sunday."
