Fairfield Woman Identified as Person Hit and Killed by a Train in Milford

Kaitlin Canavan , 27, of Fairfield was killed when she was struck by an Amtrak train near the Milford Train Station earlier this week, reports WFSB 3.

The incident occurred Monday at 12:30 p.m. Police have said it appears Canavan was trespassing and there is a hole in the fence near the Milford station and officials are trying to figure out how that happened, WFSB 3 reports.

The incident caused numerous delays from Bridgeport to New Haven. The incident remains under investigation.
