MILFORD, CT — One night, one stellar performance coming to The Milford Performance Center. Not Fade Away: A Tribute to Buddy Holly is set to take the stage on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 8:00pm (doors open at 7:00pm)
Buddy Holly, who is considered by many to be a father of rock and roll, performed with the Crickets at the Granada Theater in London, England, on March 14, 1958. At the time Maybe Baby, Peggy Sue and Oh Boy! were on Billboard’s Top 100 Chart in the United States.
The show was a LIVE! BBC broadcast. The theater had a seating capacity of 2,434; and sitting in one of those seats was a fourteen-year-old lad from Dartford, Kent named Mick Jagger … The Rolling Stones famously covered Not Fade Away in 1964.

Helping lead the band as Ritchie Valens and others is Nick Gallardo from the international act December 63, and covering the songs of The Big Bopper and more is Austin Wayne Price, who has been performing nationally in the ever popular
Million Dollar Quartet. Powerhouse drummer with NYC origins is Willis Matthewson, rocking away on guitar (and some serious vocal chops) is Ian LeSage, and plucking away (and climbing) on bass is Allison Kelly.
Reviews:
“With his short, curly hair and thick framed glasses, Mancuso captures not only the look and sound of Buddy Holly but also the spirit of the young rock ‘n roller ... for all sense and purposes, Jared Mancuso is Buddy Holly!" -David Appleford (American Theatre Critics Association) from AZ
“The absolutely sensational Mancuso has been spending the past couple years as Buddy, either in regional revivals of the musical that bears his name or in his own self-penned tribute show Buddy’s Back!, and this immersion into Buddy’s life and music shows. Not only is the triple-threat pretty darned sexy even in Buddy’s extra-heavy-rimmed horn rims, he totally convinces us that he is indeed the legendary singer musiciansongwriter, capturing every iota of Buddy’s infectious charm, good nature, and enthusiasm. Mancuso sounds just like Buddy, accompanies himself to perfection on the guitar, and following in the real -life Buddy’s footsteps, holds the audience in the palm of his hand.” -Steven Stanley (Stage Scene LA)
