Milford Welcomes Mediterranean Flavors With Silver Sands Gyro

MILFORD, CT — Silver Sands Gyro is bringing Mediterranean cuisine to Milford. The fast-casual restaurant is now open at 400 Boston Post Road.

Osman Tunali is the restaurant's owner. Previously, he established Silver Sands Pizza in 2013.

"My passion has always been serving great food and making people happy," Tunali said in a press release.

Silver Sands Gyro will introduce "a fresh approach to Mediterranean cuisine, allowing guests to customize their perfect meal through an interactive ordering experience," according to the statement.

The eatery will offer pitas, bowls, kebabs, and salads featuring ingredients like traditionally spit-roasted gyro beef, handmade kebabs, seasoned kofta, and fresh falafel.

"Opening Silver Sands Gyro allows us to share more of our Mediterranean heritage with Milford while maintaining the same commitment to quality and service that our customers have come to expect," Tunali said.

The restaurant will offer both dine-in and pickup options for lunch and dinner.

Dinner menu options include moussaka, chicken souvlaki, stuffed cabbage, hearty beef stew, and their signature iskander.

The restaurant is open Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
