Fatal Fire Kills One in Milford

The fire occurred Thursday evening and is under investigation by multiple agencies.

A 69-year-old man was discovered dead after firefighters aggressively fought a file in a mobile home Thursday.

Firefighters responded to 321 Bridgeport Ave. shortly before 5 p.m., said Capt. Gregory Carman, Fire Department spokesman.

One mobile home was completely destroyed and three others sustained damage.

The body of the man was found in one of the mobile homes during a search. His identity is not being released at this time.

The Fire Marshal’s office, Milford Police Department and Connecticut State Police Fire Explosion Investigation Unit are investigating the fire.
