22-Year-Old Milford Resident Killed In Motor Scooter Crash: PD
The accident shut down a road for several hours Tuesday while police investigated.
MILFORD, CT — Milford Police are investigating an early morning fatal accident involving a motor scooter and an SUV. Police said they responded to the accident at Bridgeport Avenue at the intersection of Route 1.
The accident scene was cleared just before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. The Police Department's Traffic Division is continuing to investigate. The accident involved an SUV that collided with a motor scooter and it occurred just after midnight. The driver of the car did stay at the scene, NBC Connecticut reports.
The victim, Walter Kiernan 22, of Milford was on a motor scooter and he was pronounced deceased on-scene by Milford Fire Department Personnel. The operator and passengers of the SUV were not injured.
