Firefighters Rescue Dog From Marsh At Milford State Park

A small dog ran into the marsh at Silver Sands State Park on Wednesday afternoon, and crews had to rescue the animal.

MILFORD, CT — A dog was rescued from a marsh at Silver Sands State Park on Wednesday afternoon, according to fire officials.

The Milford Operations Center received a call at 1:14 p.m. from the Milford Animal Control that they needed assistance to help rescue a small dog that had ran into the marsh lands of Silver Sands State Park.

"Although this little pooch was not in the mood to cooperate the mission was successful and he is safely warming up at the Shelter," fire officials said.
