Flood Advisory Just Issued For Parts of Southern Connecticut

BREAKING: Thunderstorms are moving through the Fairfield and New Haven county area.

The National Weather Service in Upton NY has issued a Flood Advisory for parts of Fairfield and New Haven counties as thunderstorms roll through the area. The advisory is until 3:45 p.m.

* At 248 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to a line of thunderstorms moving east across the advisory area. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Bridgeport, New Haven, Stamford, Waterbury, Norwalk, Danbury, Milford, Shelton, Naugatuck, Southbury, New Canaan, Wolcott, Sherman, Newtown and Fairfield.
