MILFORD, CT — Foran High School social studies teacher Austin Cesare was recently awarded the 2022 John Stedman Passion for the Social Studies Teaching Award by the Connecticut Council for Social Studies.

The award is given to a social studies teacher that displays excellence and passion for teaching the subject.

I am truly honored to receive this award, it means the world to me,” Cesare said in a statement “The most gratifying part of it is the fact that it is based on student nominations, because honestly, working with students and teaching a subject that I love is the reason I became a teacher in the first place.”
