Foran’s Caleb Tondora Signs National Letter of Intent

MILFORD – The Milford Public Schools is pleased to announce Caleb Tondora, son of Janice and Frank Tondora, has signed a National Letter of Intent to become a member of the track team at Bryant University, located in Smithfield, Rhode Island. The Bryant University ‘Bulldogs’ are a part of the Div. 1 NCAA organization.

Tondora, surrounded by family and friends, signed the agreement letter at a special confirmation ceremony at Joseph A. Foran High School this week. In addition to the offer to join their athletic program, the letter also accepted Tondora for entry to their prestigious Honors Program, due to his excellent academic performance while at Foran.

Caleb spent the majority of his youth in local soccer programs and had always thought he would pursue playing soccer at the college level. When a fellow teammate during his freshman year at Foran said, “With your height, you should give the high jump in track a shot.” At 6’0” it seemed the event would be ‘a natural’ for him – and it was. Little did he know his track skills would provide the path that had recruiters knocking at his door. He was also pursued by Ithaca College, Connecticut College, and Bentley University.

Tondora plans to major in Data Science and Applied Math/Statistics, eventually landing a job in sports analytics.

“While my years here at Foran have been tremendous, I am really looking forward to what the next four will bring,” Caleb commented. “I can’t wait to get started.”
