Frank A. LaManna, 93, of Milford, Passed away on January 16, 2025

Beloved husband and father, Frank was proud a Navy Veteran who enjoyed dancing and hunting in his free time.

Frank A. LaManna, 93, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Ann “Dolly” LaManna, passed away on January 16, 2025. Born on March 26, 1931, in Norwalk, CT, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Lina LaManna.


Frank was a man of extraordinary charm and a personality that drew people to him effortlessly. Following his service in the Navy, Frank dedicated many years of his career to Yankee Gas in Norwalk, CT, as a senior field technician and engineer, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends. Outside of work, Frank’s generous spirit shone through his avid volunteering with the USS Mullany Reunion Organization, where he made a lasting impact on many lives.


For over three decades, Frank cherished annual hunting trips to Ripton, Vermont, with a close-knit group of friends. These trips were filled with laughter, camaraderie, and storytelling—so much so that they often joked about how little hunting they actually did. Known for his legendary dance moves, Frank could light up any room, encouraging everyone to join him on the dance floor at every opportunity. His infectious smile, warmth, and zest for life will forever be remembered by all who knew him.

Frank is survived by his children, Catherine (Joseph) Orgovan, Francis (Susan) LaManna, Joseph “Jay” (Tricia) LaManna, Elizabeth Morelli, and Robin (Christopher) Counihan; his grandchildren, Joseph (Brittany), Stephanie, Anthony, Amanda, Devin, Joseph, Angelo, Alexis, and Melissa; and his great-granddaughter, Vivian. Frank was predeceased by his daughter, Sheryl Ann LaManna, and his siblings, Sebastian and Marion.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a sharing of memories at 4:00 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford. Interment and military honors will take place on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint John Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave, Norwalk, CT 06850.
