Frank M. Gargiulo, Sr., 83, of Milford, passed away on June 5, 2024.
Frank was known for his laughter, his silly jokes and most of all his infectious smile.

Francis “Frank” Mario Gargiulo Sr., 83, of Milford, beloved husband of Carmella “Carmie” Cusmano Gargiulo, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on June 5, 2024 after his long battle with dementia. He was born on August 27, 1940, in New Haven, CT, and was the son of the late Francis Angelo Gargiulo and Clara Gianini Gargiulo.
Frank proudly served our nation as a United States Marine from 1958 to 1962 where he was stationed in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii and Quantico, Virginia as a Corporal E4, in the Motor Transportation unit. He worked for Ryder Transportation where he was a supervisor and a semi-truck driver for their corrugated division. Frank was an avid baseball card collector, loved refinishing furniture and enjoyed metal detecting when given the chance. He was known for his laughter, his silly jokes and most of all his infectious smile. He made it his life to be a devoted husband, father and Grampy.
In addition to his beloved wife Carmie, he is also survived by their three children: Frank Mario Gargiulo Jr. (Rena), Christine Merenda (Michael), and Jennifer Coretti. Seven grandchildren: Emily, Ashley, Taylor, Fiorella, Abby, Chloe and Elenna, as well as his sister Ann Miron, and many beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends. Frank is predeceased by his siblings; Pat Gargiulo, Charles Gargiulo, and Michele Gardner.

Friends and family may call from 4pm to 7pm on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 BROAD ST., MILFORD, CT. A Prayer Service will begin at 6:00pm, followed by Full Military Honors. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Dementia/Alzheimer charity.
