Friends Raise Money for Woman Seriously Injured in Milford Hit-and-Run Accident
The woman was leaving her job at a local restaurant when she was struck by the hit-and-run driver who is still has not been identified.

MILFORD, CT — Amanda Keane was leaving her job at the Milford Bridge House Restaurant late Sunday when she was struck a by a hit-and-run driver who is still has not been identified.
On Monday, Milford police described Keane's injuries as potentially life-threatening. Friends and family members of Keane, who lives in Stratford, have established a GoFundMe campaign to assist her and her likely to be significant medical expenses.
A goal of $100,000 has been set and in 15 hours already $2,600 has been raised.

"The extent of her injuries are yet to be known as she is still in intensive care, however she and her loving family will be in need of assistance," the GoFundMe states. "Amanda has been a very hard working loving person that always puts others in front of herself, always helping others...in the work place or at home, she is admired by all. Her chipper and bubbly personality is one of a kind and is extremely contagious. Are prayers go out to her and her family. Please help assist us in supporting Amanda and her family in the time of need."
The accident occurred at 10:45 p.m. in the area of Bridgeport Avenue and Woodland Avenue, police said.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a dark colored sedan was traveling eastbound on Bridgeport Avenue and struck a pedestrian and the vehicle the pedestrian was attempting to get into, police said.
A witness on scene gave statements indicating that after the accident occurred the dark colored sedan fled the scene Eastbound, police said. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital, police said.
The offending vehicle, a dark colored sedan would have damage to its right front head light, bumper, right fender, and missing its passenger side right mirror, police said.
