Fugitive from Justice Arrested in Milford

A fugitive from justice -- who allegedly violated conditions of parole for a home invasion in Florida -- was busted Thursday morning in Milford, authorities say.

The man, identified as David Weston, 26, of 869 Milford Point Road, Milford, was captured 6:30 a.m. at 38 Twin Oaks Terrace in town, according to authorities.

Weston was charged with two counts of being a fugitive from justice and held in lieu of $2 million bond, authorities said.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Service Connecticut Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force and the Milford Police Department located Weston at the Twin Oaks Terrace residence, where he was taken into police custody, according to Milford police.

Weston has an outstanding arrest warrant from Florida "for conditional release violations regarding a home invasion robbery offense in Florida," police said in a release.

That's why he was busted, police said.

"Investigators also received information that Weston has another outstanding arrest warrant from the Daytona Beach Florida Police Department for racketeering offense in their jurisdiction," police said.

Weston is innocent until proven guilty.
