“We are pleased to announce a beautiful garden has been created on the grounds of Jonathan Law High School in the memory of Maren Sanchez. This garden was made possible solely through the generous donations of people in the community and members of local businesses. No funds from the Maren Sanchez Memorial Fund were used to create this space.

A small dedication ceremony will take place on Wednesday afternoon at the site of the garden. The program is expected to last approximately 20 minutes after which there will be a small reception in the area near the new gym/freshmen wing. A small group of speakers will be in attendance, as well as a number of invited guests.

Maren’s mom, Donna Cimarelli, will also be in attendance but she will not entertain any requests for interviews. Please be respectful of her wishes.

Following the dedication and reception, the Law/Foran Girls Volleyball matchup, (dedicated to Maren Sanchez), will begin at approximately 5:15 p.m. at Law.

Attendees have been asked to wear something purple, Maren’s favorite color.”
