Gary William Morin Jr.
Known to many as a "gentle giant," Gary was a kind, loving, and caring person who touched the lives of everyone around him.

Gary William Morin Jr., 54, of Milford, passed away on December 8th, 2024. Born on August 26th, 1970, in Waterbury, Connecticut, he was the son of Gary Morin Sr. and Shirley Petschauer.
Gary was born at St. Mary's Hospital and was raised and educated in the Oakville-Watertown area, where he spent his formative years creating lifelong memories with friends and family.
From a young age, Gary had a deep passion for sports, especially baseball. He joined Little League and continued to play on various baseball teams as he grew older. A proud alumnus of Watertown High School, Gary was a dedicated player on the school’s baseball team, where he truly lived for the game. In addition to his love of baseball, Gary was an avid collector of baseball cards, with his prized possession being a Nolan Ryan card, which brought him immense joy.

Gary's talents extended beyond the baseball field. He was a gifted guitarist, deeply passionate about music, and he had an affinity for heavy metal bands. He wrote his own songs and at one point, even sent his music to Washington D.C. to be copyrighted. His love for music was a defining aspect of his personality, bringing him both solace and joy.
Known to many as a “gentle giant,” Gary was a kind, loving, and caring person who touched the lives of everyone around him. He will be remembered for his infectious spirit, his trademark "fist pumps and thumbs ups," and for the affectionately given nicknames he bestowed upon those he loved—“Shorty,” “Junior,” “Popeye,” and “Shorty Jrs.”

He is survived by his siblings, Brian Morin and Lorann Morin, his adored niece and nephews Milla, Karl, and Grayson Morin. His best friend Fran Membrino and several cousins and second cousins. He also leaves behind the many friends he made at Bridges Healthcare social club and new friends at Four Corners, Milford. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and will live on in their hearts forever.
