
Gerald F. D’Ancicco, 89, of Seymour, a beloved figure in both the medical and firefighting communities, husband of the late Angelina Aceto, passed away on August 7, 2024. Born on January 8, 1935, he was the son of the late Augustino and Marie D’Ancicco.
Gerald was a proud alumnus of the University of Vermont, where he earned his PhD and went on to serve as a director of cardiology. His contributions to the field of cardiology were significant, and his expertise and compassionate care touched many lives. In addition to his impressive medical career, Gerald devoted 35 years to serving as a firefighter in Orange. His commitment to protecting and helping his community was unwavering, and he was known for his bravery and dedication.
Gerald is survived by his children David (Melissa) D’Ancicco and Diane (Mark) DelRocco, his brother Donald (Diane) D’Ancicco , many grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his sister Barbara Kelly.
Private services will be held to honor Gerald’s memory.
