Great Escape

OK.  So it's not a massage, a manicure-pedicure or a good meal. We'll have plenty of those in this new column called the Great Escape.

This week it's an adventure!

For the shoppers among us who like a good bargain, try the new Goodwill Super Store at 1712 Boston Post Road, near Costco.

Opened several weeks ago, the shop offers some name-brand clothes at reasonable prices.

So stroll around the store, which seems to be the size of a football stadium, and shop till you drop -- without breaking the family budget!

If you feel guilty about indulging, remember, the store is run by Goodwill Industries of Western Connecticut Inc., a nonprofit group -- and you could drop off some of your gently used items at the Donation Center.
