Happiness for One Milford Man is a Birthday Present Wrapped in a $200,000 Prize Winning Lottery Ticket

Only days away from his 29th birthday, Stephen Jaser of Milford found just the ticket to help him celebrate the occasion a little bit early—a $200,000 prize winning “Golden Casino” instant ticket.

“I don’t play [the lottery] much, but when I saw the retailer open a brand new pack of Golden Casino tickets I figured, what the heck, I’d buy one,” Jaser said. Not one to waste any time, Jaser skipped over playing the ticket and went directly to scratching the barcode area to scan in a ticket checker. “Looking at [the prize won] quick, I saw a ‘2’ with a whole lot of zeros,” Jaser said with a laugh. “I ended up scratching the whole ticket until I found the two number matches and two $100,000 prizes. This is an awesome birthday present!”

Jaser was clearly in high spirits when he happily claimed his $200,000 prize winning Golden Casino ticket at Lottery headquarters in Rocky Hill. His plans were simple. “I’m going to put the money in the bank and eventually buy a house.”

Jaser’s $200,000 prize winning ticket was purchased at Shell Food Mart, located at 340 Boston Post Road in Orange. For selling the ticket, Shell Food Mart will receive a $2,000 check from the CT Lottery.
