MILFORD, CT — The Milford Planning and Zoning Board approved plans to allow Hartford HealthCare to use a portion of the Ethan Allen building on the Boston Post Road for medical office space.

The application calls for turning about 10,000 of the building’s approximately 20,500 square feet into medical clinic space. The remaining space would continue to operate as an Ethan Allen furniture store.

“It's basically a doctor's office that operates between nine and five,” said Matthew Whitmer, a design architect who worked on the project. “Every day, there would be a number of doctors in there that would see patients on a pre-scheduled basis.”
