Hartford HealthCare Supports Trumbull VFW's New Home with Grant and Lifesaving AED

The grant and lifesaving device will help equip the new Veterans & First Responders Center, serving veterans from five local communities.

Hartford HealthCare St. Vincent's Medical Center President Bill Jennings, Director of EMS Operations Wesley Young and Senior Vice President of Operations Andrew Turczak recently presented the Trumbull Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post with a grant to support its new facility, currently under construction in Trumbull.

The new Veterans & First Responders Center will provide a permanent home for the Trumbull VFW and serve veterans from Trumbull, Shelton, Monroe, Easton and Redding, offering space for meetings, programs and community events.

In addition to the grant, Hartford HealthCare surprised post members with an automated external defibrillator (AED) to help keep veterans, guests and visitors safe when the facility opens."

Our veterans have dedicated their lives to serving others, and we're proud to support a space that will bring them together for years to come," Jennings said. "We hope this grant and AED help ensure the new center is both welcoming and safe for everyone who walks through its doors."

The donation reflects Hartford HealthCare's ongoing commitment to strengthening the health and well-being of the communities it serves while honoring those who have served our country.
