CONNECTICUT — Concerns are rising for the chance of severe weather in Connecticut on Saturday. The National Weather Service has already issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the state for possibly strong to severe thunderstorms.

It appears the area of biggest concern is from midday Saturday through Saturday evening. In its advisory for Southern Connecticut, the NWS says, "Scattered severe thunderstorms are possible ahead of a cold frontal passage on Saturday. The primary threats are large hail and damaging winds."

For Northern Connecticut, the NWS says, "There is a low risk for strong to locally severe thunderstorms from midday Saturday into Saturday evening."

The crazy thing is that the NWS is also saying the state could see partly sunny conditions on Saturday so this doesn't mean the day will be a washout.

As for the present, Thursday and Friday look sunny, hot and humid with temps into the upper 80s to low 90s both days. It's expected that thunderstorms on Saturday will cool us off as Sunday looks flawless with sunshine and temps around 80 degrees.
