Severe Thunderstorms May Hit Southern Connecticut: Timing
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for southern Connecticut. Here's what to expect and when.

SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for all of southern Connecticut for the chance of some severe weather on Saturday.
The weather service said there is a "potential for scattered strong to severe thunderstorms Saturday afternoon into the evening. Damaging wind gusts are the primary threat."
We can definitely use the rain as our lawns have largely turned to dust and the grass more resembles brown than green. We've also been asked to conserve water in parts of the state too.

The weather service said a "few showers and possibly a thunderstorm will move into the lower Hudson Valley, northeastern New Jersey, and into New York City early Saturday morning. There may be a brief break in the precipitation before more showers and thunderstorms move into the region Saturday afternoon ahead of a cold front. Some of the storms may be strong with gusty winds and locally heavy rainfall. Highs Saturday will range in the 80s."
It's expected that we will receive a half inch to an inch of rain before the sun returns later on Sunday.
