Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Southern Connecticut
Multiple advisories have been posted by the National Weather Service for coastal sections of southern Connecticut.

Information via the National Weather Service for coastal sections of southern Connecticut:
A wind advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. "Northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Scattered tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result."
A coastal flood advisory is in effect from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Friday for coastal sections of southern Connecticut.

"One half to one and a half feet of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline."
"Minor flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline during the times of high tide. Expect around 1/2 to 1 1/2 feet of inundation above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.

"The timing of windshift from the east to the north will determine the magnitude of coastal impacts. If winds back to the north before the time of high tide only isolated minor coastal impacts are likely, while if the winds back to the north after the time of high tide, more widespread minor coastal impacts are likely.

Today: Rain, mainly before 5pm. High near 45. Windy, with a northeast wind 21 to 26 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Tonight: Rain likely before 2am, then a slight chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. North wind 10 to 15 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 41. Wind chill values between 25 and 35. West wind 14 to 17 mph.
Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 25. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. West wind 8 to 13 mph.
