Southern CT Weather: Strong Storms, Wind, Hail Expected Monday
The National Weather Service said southern Connecticut can expect more stormy weather Monday. Here is the expected timing.
SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT — For the third straight day we may see strong thunderstorms accompanied by periods of heavy rain, strong wind gusts and possibly hail.
The National Weather Service has issued another hazardous weather outlook for all of southern Connecticut as "numerous showers and scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon, particularly over southern Connecticut."
"These storms will mainly produce heavy downpours, gusty winds and small hail, but a few storms may briefly be able to produce strong to damaging winds gusts and hail up to one inch in diameter. In addition, there is potential for localized urban and poor drainage flooding, particularly across southern Connecticut," the weather service said.
