SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for southern Connecticut on Tuesday for the chance for some strong-to-severe thunderstorms Tuesday evening.

Showers and thunderstorms will move through beginning early Tuesday night, and any storm that becomes severe will likely have damaging winds, the weather service cautioned.

And we're not getting rid of that stubborn haze that has engulfed much of the country, either.
"Haze may start to move in aloft from wildfires out west, but this looks to happen late into the afternoon or evening this evening," the weather service said. The haze has led to unhealthy air quality at times for Connecticut.
