Weather conditions will be changing rapidly. Here are the latest forecast details for southern Connecticut.

SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for all of southern Connecticut in advance of a strong storm that is forecast for Monday.

"Low pressure will bring a period of heavy rain and possible thunderstorms to the region Monday into Monday evening, with potential for urban and poor drainage flood impacts, as well as localized flash flooding," said the National Weather Service.

As for Father's Day, it starts off nice with sun, but there is a chance for an afternoon shower, according to WFSB 3 TV. Temperatures should be in the upper 70s.

"Monday evening will be our best chance to see some embedded thunder in the mix as well. For that reason, we’ve issued a *First Alert Weather Day* for Monday with the impact to your evening commute and any outdoor plans in mind," said WFSB 3 TV meterorologists.

The rain ends Tuesday morning and up to 1.5 inches of rain is forecast. More rain showers are possible on Thursday and Friday.
