'Hero' Milford Police Officer Saves A Life

A Milford police officer is being called a hero for his actions that helped save a life recently.

A Milford police officer is being called a hero for his decisive life-saving work he did recently.

Milford police spokesman Sgt. Jeffrey Nielsen said at 8:30 p.m. on June 6, the Milford Police Department received a complaint regarding a motor vehicle accident that occurred at 190 Woodmont Road.

Investigation revealed that a vehicle veered off the roadway, striking a parked vehicle and then the gas pump.

Officer Sean Degnan arrived on the scene and found the operator unresponsive inside the vehicle.

Degnan removed the operator from the vehicle and performed CPR, which was instrumental in reviving the operator, Nielsen said.

The operator of the vehicle and the passenger were treated for injuries on scene and transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

“The Milford Police Department would like to recognize Officer Sean Degnan for his heroic efforts,” Nielsen said.
