'High-End, Boutique' Auto Repair Shop Approved In Milford
Plans for an auto repair shop were approved at a Planning and Zoning Board meeting last month.

MILFORD, CT — The Milford Planning and Zoning Board approved a special permit for an auto repair shop, according to meeting minutes.
The proposal for 63 Cherry St. calls for a "boutique high-end automotive repair business." The plan requires no changes to the structure currently on the property.
The business would have a staff of three mechanics. An attorney for the project, Thomas Lynch, said it would be a "very low volume site with no repairs or storage of cars outside," according to minutes from the Nov. 21 meeting.

No additional construction is needed for the site, and a traffic analysis found no sightline issues, Lynch said.
The city engineer required removal of some parking spaces and tree stumps located in the city's right of way.
