Hobby Lobby Opens in Milford with Grand Opening
The store will be the third in Connecticut and will create up to 50 jobs in Milford.

Hobby Lobby held its grand opening ceremony on Monday complete with a ribbon cutting and a prayer for their new store in Milford, the New Haven Register reports.
The store officially opened on Friday and is located at 1777 Boston Post Road. The Milford location will be the third Hobby Lobby store in the state, according to the paper.
According to the company’s website, Hobby Lobby operates in a manner that is consistent with biblical principles. The retailer has over 600 stores across the nation and is considered a leader in the arts and crafts industry.

The store will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will remain closed on Sundays. According to the paper, the store will create 35-50 full-time and part-time jobs.
Hobby Lobby has created controversy earlier this year when a Supreme Court decision ruled that certain for-profit companies cannot be required to pay for specific types of contraceptives if they conflict with their principles or beliefs.
