How Much Did Great River Golf Course in Milford Get Sold For?

A college has agreed to purchase the highly rated golf course in Milford.

Sacred Heart University based in Fairfield has agreed to spend $6 million to purchase the Great River Golf Course in Milford for $6 million, reports the New Haven Register’s Luther Turmelle.

For $6 million, Sacred Heart will acquire the 18-hole golf course, clubhouse and adjacent parking lot at 130 Coram Lane.

School officials say they want the facility in order to offer golf programs and specifically a new golf management program, the Register reports. The deal will be finalized next month. No tuition funds were used in the purchase.

The golf club will continue to operate as members-only. Milford Mayor Benjamin G. Blake told Turmelle that the golf club will continue to remain on the city’s tax rolls.
