Obituary: Ian Michael O'Neill, 45, Of Milford

Ian Michael O’Neill, age 45, of Milford, entered into peaceful rest on July 3, 2025.
Ian was born on May 27, 1980 in New Haven. He was the son of Una O’Neill of Milford and the late Tony Palumbo. Ian graduated from St. Gabriel Elementary School and Jonathon Law High School, Milford. He was a certified nurse’s aide and worked for many years at Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stratford.
Ian was a kind and gentle man who was a friend to everyone he met. Over the last ten years, Ian devoted his life to caring for his son Liam, who was the joy of his life. They were two peas in a pod and never more than a few feet from each other.

In addition to his mother, and Liam, Ian leaves his grandmother, Kathleen O’Neill and his large, extended Irish family of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends throughout the United States and Northern Ireland.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 19th, 2025 (DIRECTLY) at Saint Gabriel Church (St. Raphael Parish) 26 Broadway, Milford, Interment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Milford.
