Info Released On Milford United Way's Annual Golf Tournament

MILFORD, CT — Milford United Way will mark the 25th anniversary of its annual golf tournament this month, with a new location and a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Milford.

The 25th Silver Anniversary Golf Classic will be held Aug. 24 at Black Hawk Country Club in Stratford, according to a Milford United Way news release.

The event begins with golfer check-in at 8:30 a.m., followed by a grab-and-go breakfast. Golfers will tee off at 10 a.m. The tournament will use a scramble format and include hole-in-one, closest-to-the-pin and longest-drive contests.

Golf carts, refreshments on the course, foursome photos and participant gift bags are included. The tournament will conclude with appetizers, a buffet and awards program.

A 50/50 raffle and prize raffle are also planned. Prizes include an outdoor firepit, sound bar, personal steam sauna box and drone package, while raffle baskets will include gift cards, tickets to local venues and golf accessories.

“With this being our 25th Silver Anniversary Golf Tournament, we wanted to keep the traditional features of our Classic that everyone loves, while adding a few new dimensions to keep it fresh,” Kathy Bonetti, director of the Milford United Way, said in a statement.
