James J. Budzinski, 75, of Milford, passed away on February 9, 2025.
A man of humility, humor, and unwavering love for his family, Jim was the heart of his home.

James J. Budzinski, 75 of Milford, passed away on February 9, 2025. Referred to as “Jim” by those close to him, he was born on November 8, 1949, in Bridgeport, CT, to the late Alexander and Elizabeth Budzinski.
Jim honorably served two terms during the Vietnam War, displaying immense bravery and dedication to his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart after being injured in the line of duty, a testament to his courage and sacrifice. After his military service, Jim built a career as a machinist, working for nearly 20 years at Steven’s Manufacturing, where his skill and work ethic were highly respected.
Beyond his profession, Jim had a deep passion for astronomy and meteorology. His home was filled with telescopes and weather instruments, and he was always eager to share his knowledge with those around him. He also took great pride in maintaining his home, whether it was tending to his landscaping or fixing anything that needed repair.

A man of humility, humor, and unwavering love for his family, Jim was the heart of his home. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, always putting his loved ones first. His grandchildren, who lovingly called him "Papa," had the privilege of growing up with him as a constant source of guidance, love, and support. He was more than a grandfather, he was a father figure, and role model to them.
In addition to his beloved wife, Jean, he is survived by his two cherished daughters: Deborah Abate and Jenifer Budzinski. Granddaughters: Chloe Budzinski and Sarah Abate. Siblings: Thomas Budzinski, John Budzinski, and Mary Schultz (husband Gary). As well as many additional beloved family and friends.
