James Michael Dean, age 81, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Sheila Rogers Dean for 50 years, passed away on Thursday July 19, 2025. James was born in Long Island City, New York on April 25, 1944 to the late George and Catherine Gilronin Dean. James was a manager at SNET for many years and later worked at H&R Block. James was also a proud US Army Veteran. Survivors include his children: James Dean Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Stamford and Christine Dean and her partner Brett of Milford, cherished granddaughter, Reilly Hungerford of Milford, siblings, Robert Dean and his wife Maureen of Albany and Kathy Tyrell of North Carolina and several nieces and nephews. James is predeceased by his twin brother, George Dean, brother, Brian Dean and brother-in-law, Charles Tyrell. Friends and family may call on Monday morning, June 30th from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. in THE GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. A service will be held in the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Interment with full military honors will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans in memory of James.
