Obituary

Janet M. Covaleski, age 92, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Stanley F. Covaleski, died at home on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Janet was born in Dickson City, PA on April 20, 1932 to the late John and Helen Balczenuik Wroblewski. Janet worked as an Administrative Assistant at Babcock Engineering for over 20 years. She was an active parishioner of Saint Ann Church, past President of the Saint Ann Ladies Guild, volunteered at the Milford Fine Arts Counsel, and was a member of the Milford Senior Center. Janet achieved the level of Grand Master bridge player, was an avid reader, theater-goer, enjoyed traveling and insisted on maintaining a well-manicured garden and lawn. Survivors include her beloved daughters, Theresa E. Covaleski of Milford, Sandra (James) Faggiana of Shelton and Linda (Michael) Wronski of Shelton, and four grandchildren, Alexandra (Zachary), Anthony, Tiffany and Hunter, in addition to many loving nieces and nephews. Janet is predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. Janet was always watched over by her many neighbors and friends. Appreciation goes out to her extended family Scott M. Digris, Jill Mislow, and Sherreka Lowe, fondly known as Sher, for having provided her with daily comfort, conversation and happiness. Janet was grateful to the donors who gave her the gift of sight for the last 25 years. Gratitude is also extended to the doctors, nurses and medical personnel who provided her care for many years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Ann Church (Saint Raphael Parish) on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Milford.
