Jayden Chetlen, 21, of Milford, passed away on June 7, 2024. Born on January 12, 2003 in Milford, CT, he was the son of Cristen Chetlen.
Jayden attended Jonathan Law High School and was an enthusiastic member of the high school choir. They loved to cook and were attending Culinary School at Gateway Community College with the intention of pursuing culinary education. They loved anime and cosplay and were known to attend events like Conneticon. They were a huge fan of Broadway, traveling with his loved ones to see shows and musicals. An accomplished artist, Jayden excelled at painting, sketching and drawing. They also had a deep love of video games, especially GenShin, Sky Rim, and Kingdom Hearts. Jayden could be found taking over the television with their friends much to the chagrin of their mother (whom they attempted to teach the games many times to no avail).
A very important part of Jayden’s life was that they identified as non-binary. Their pronouns were they/them and he/him. They were in the process of transitioning for several years, showing their Pride for who they were and supporting others on a similar journey. They are survived by their partner Aedan who lit up their world.

Jayden is survived by their mother, Cristen Chetlen, brother Christian Lima and sister Lena Morris. Uncles Jonathan Chetlen and Joseph “Grimm” Berger, cousin Allyah Chetlen, stepfather Rich Lohrenz. As well as grandparents, aunts, and uncles. They are also survived by their cat Dina and dogs Rocket and Groot.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the family’s discretion at a later date.
