Jeanne Lorraine Rich, 81 of Milford, CT passed on February 11, 2025

1943 - 2025

Jeanne Lorraine Rich (nee Gennette), from Milford, CT, passed peacefully in her sleep at the age of 81 on February 11, 2025.

She is survived by her three children, daughter Lorraine J. Pearson (son in-law Douglas), son Marc A. Rich (daughter-in-law Stacie), daughter Cheryl A. Rich and their father, Allan J. Rich. She is also survived by her five beautiful grandchildren, Jade, Kylie, Mackenzie, Tyler and Aubrie, brother John Gennette (wife Nancy), sister Joyce Gennette and nine nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in death by her loving companion of 27 years, Clifford Alger, her parents, Fred and Hazel Gennette, sister Carole Fitzsimmons and nephew Michael Luce.

Born in Bridgeport, CT on July 28, 1943, she grew up in Trumbull, CT and graduated from Central High School, Bridgeport, CT, where she was a high stepper and enjoyed attending record hops with the Catholic Youth Organization. After marriage, she moved to Bridgeport, CT and then to Milford, CT in 1972, where she started building her beautiful family. Jeanne’s time was spent as a stay-at-home mom and then worked for many years as a Secretary at Milford Automatics. Jeanne was an avid sports fan, loved watching golf like her father, brother, son and grandson and especially her favorite golfer Phil Mickelson, cheering for the Boston Red Sox with Cliff and cheering for Tom Brady on the New England Patriots and then Patrick Mahomes for the Kansas City Chiefs (yes, she is a fair-weather fan). Jeanne had a great love for her many cats, her soap operas, dancing and roller skating, attending many of Al Warren’s record hops with family and friends. She loved sitting on the beach in Woodmont, CT, watching sunsets and full moons. Jeanne loved being with her family for all occasions and holidays and sipping on a nice glass of Bailey's on the Rocks.
