Joan Elizabeth Carrasco, age 90, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Jacob P. Carrasco, entered peaceful rest on November 7, 2024.
She was born on September 10, 1934, in Queens, New York and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel (Gabeline) Grasser.
Joan’s most cherished memories were with her husband and family. She loved spending her days outside, such as at Walnut Beach, one of her favorite places in Milford. She never missed an episode of her favorite soap opera The Young and the Restless. She loved challenging her mind with word searches, crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She had the biggest heart and adored animals, especially dogs and cats. Joan was known for her one of a kind sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Joan is survived by her devoted son, Glenn Carrasco and his wife Kim of Seymour and two loving grandchildren, Nicole and Marisa Carrasco of Milford. She is also survived by her brother Joseph Grasser and wife Sandra of Bethlehem, PA. Her son Mark Carrasco and sister Alice Nowinski predeceased her.
