​John D. “Johnny” Gardino, 67, of Milford, CT, passed away on Saturday January 24, 2026

He always remembered his interactions with everyone he met and always showed how much he loved and cared for everyone in his life.

John D. “Johnny” Gardino, 67, of Milford, CT, passed away on Saturday January 24, 2026. Born on December 11, 1958 in New Haven, CT, he was a son of the late Louis Sr and Jean (Spiller) Gardino.

John was an accomplished and skilled Electrician, working for Eversource for a number of years, but spent fourteen years as an Electrician at Millstone Power Plant in Waterford, CT working on the nuclear power plant. He was always coming to the rescue of friends in need of help with electrical problems.

John loved riding his prized Harley which he entered into the Frank Maratta Auto Show, winning trophies and ribbons. John also had a great love of music, recently excelling in learning to play the piano and sing.

Most of all, John is remembered by his family and friends as being endlessly funny, and incredibly compassionate for his family and friends. He always remembered his interactions with everyone he met and always showed how much he loved and cared for everyone in his life.

John is survived by his brothers Louis Jr. (Jean) Gardino, and Ronald (Wendy) Gardino, his nieces and nephews Gabriel Gardino, Luciano Gardino, Carissa Gardino, and Courtney Breuler. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as many other beloved family and friends.

In addition to his parents, John is predeceased by his brother Jerry Gardino.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, February 16, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in his memory.
