Obituary: John Gillen, 90, of Milford
John's greatest joy was his family and enjoyed spending time together.
John Gillen, age 90, of Milford, beloved husband of Janet McCallum Gillen, died on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. John was born in Ardrossan, Scotland on September 15, 1934 to the late Andrew and Caroline McCulloch Gillen.
He came to the United States in 1961. John worked as the Engineering Facilities Manager for Chelsea Market in New York City for many years. He was an avid Glasgow Celtic supporter.
John’s greatest joy was his family and enjoyed spending time together. John was known for his sense of humor and never an unkind word for anyone. He was a wonderful singer.

Survivors include his children, Andrew Gillen and his wife Colleen of Troy, Michigan and Marie Kozek and her husband Kevin of Milford, five grandchildren, Carolyn and her husband Duncan, John, Kelly and her husband Quentin, Kaleigh and Jenny and one great-grandson, Edward.
