Obituary: John "Otto" Schwartz, 68
Otto was well known in Milford bartending at Lasse's for 40 years.
John Andrew Schwartz, affectionately known as Otto, passed away unexpectedly on
Friday March 14, 2025 at his home. Otto was born October 12, 1956 in Bridgeport to the
late Otto and Margaret Schwartz. He was a loving partner for more than 20 years to
Wendy Hubbell.
Otto was well known in Milford bartending at Lasse’s for 40 years. He was a huge
Rolling Stone’s fan and had the pleasure of seeing the band many times. He enjoyed
watching sports and cheering on the Jets and Giants. Otto loved being outside whether
it was working in the yard, sitting by a campfire, or riding his beloved Harley. He had a
great smile that lit up any room and will be missed by his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory is his partner, Wendy Hubbell; his brother Wayne Schwartz;
stepdaughter, Rose Teta and her daughter Gabby; stepson Alfred Teta, his wife Carla,
and their children, Alex and Carrianna. In addition to his parents, Otto was
predeceased by his siblings: Robert Schwartz and Margaret Burke.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm - 7:00pm on Friday April 4, 2025 at the GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Ave, Milford.
